I was just at Andrew Sullivan's site and he has a little blurb about a great new Heinz ad the American Family Association doesn't want you to see. After surfing the various venues, the word "pressure" takes you to the AFA site where you can email Heinz a nasty complaint. However, I changed my complaint to a letter of support. I told them I will be purchasing their product and telling everyone I know to do the same. I have a challenge to all fellow Kossacks after the break.
I want everyone to visit the AFA site and turn that complaint form into a support form. This ad is beautiful and there is nothing wrong with it. Heinz says they have received over 200 complaints. I challenge everyone to ensure Heinz receives double or triple that in support letters. It is way past time we see two men, two women, a black and a white person, etc. on television. Why should our families not be represented in the media. I think Heinz should be applauded for thinking outside the box and creating that ad in the first place. We can no longer let the small group of conservative, close minded people control everything. We need to fight back. And what better way than using their site to send an uplifting, supportive message to Heinz. How pissed off do you think they are going to be?
