No time to do a full diary, but time enough to read things that cheer me to the point that I want to hide under a bed.
Explanations after the jump
- LA Times backs up Newsweek poll which was not, as the pundits tried to suggest, an "outlier."
- My favorite electoral college web site also looks very good. (Indiana, tho? c'mon? can't be)
- If the DNC could arrange for the President and Rove to make daily appearances we could seal the deal before the conventions.
- But, the increasing likelihood of an Obama presidency may be rushing the numbskull to overule the Pentagon and try to bomb Iran. They had their mouthpiece Brooks explain why the big shot's kid who couldn't even live up to his National Guard commitment knows more about these things than the entire foreign policy-military establishment and that his 28% support in the country warrants following this guy into World War III.
I do not disagree that said establishment is frequently wrong, often overly timid or overly aggressive when almost the exact opposite is called for, but when the president is an idiot and the civilian he has appointed to supervise the military agrees with the generals and the secretary of state, the most absurd character ever to occupy that office finds now to be first time to stand up to said idiot but is nonetheless in danger of being overruled, it is time to run for the hills.
