Karma = Action
Yoga = Union
Karma Yoga is compassionate action.
It is seeing suffering, and moving to alleviate it.
Filling sandbags in a flood is karma yoga.
Giving a homeless person a dollar is karma yoga.
Pet sitting is karma yoga.
Not judging is karma yoga.
Karma Yoga is not about me or you, it is about us.
It is about us helping each other. It is about seeing a need and filling it. It is about doing the right thing.
Karma Yoga is not about being a doormat. We can assert that we will not be used. We can call BS. Compassion does not mean that we are saps.
Karma Yoga means that we are compassionate and fair. We see what needs to be done, to solve a problem, and we do it. It does not mean we will take every sob story to heart.
Buddhist does not mean sap.
I just wanted to clarify some stuff here about Buddhists.
We are well aware of human imperfections. We don't claim to be perfect. But we try not to judge. Which is a trait we share with all other faiths, as I understand the narratives.
Karma Yoga is just the same as Matthew 25. It's just the same as the core of all the religions.
Do unto others as you would have done unto you.
Namaste.
Om Shanti
Shalom
Salaam.
