- Markos takes to the front page of his incredibly influential and widely read diary to not just publically castigate Obama, but to declare that while he has the financial liquidity some of us only dream we could contribute to the cause, he has currently chosen to withhold those funds from Obama as punishment.
- He tells us this is no big deal, that he's sure others will pick up the slack, and end the big scheme of things, Obama will be fine without his piddling contribution.
- He assures us that he's not asking any of us to follow suit, despite the aforementioned influence and wide readership.

...his article is now linked on the Politics page of Huffington Post under the headline:
Kos Upset With Obama; Withholds Contribution
There for the whole fucking world to see, proving the sterotype that progressive Democrats are a bunch of ideological purists who apparently don't really need a President, but would rather argue among themselves about Obama's betrayal of the left and pout and jeopardize party unity, leading to a not completely ridiculous conclusion that despite all the advantages we have this year, it is entirely possible that we will fuck this up for ourselves.
And the Republicans laugh and laugh and laugh.
But hey, you know, as long as Kos made sure to point out that:
Obviously Obama is a great candidate who is running a great 50-state race. That much cannot be denied. But he's had a rough couple of weeks
But denying him financial support because of a "rough couple of weeks"? and trumpeting that to the world? Apparently that's okay.
Here endeth the lesson.
UPDATE: clammyc helpfully pointed out that this article is not on the main page, but on the Politics page. true dat. i've changed it above. but i'm still pissed.
