If there were ever a crime that you could commit with impunity in Germany, this is it:
A man tore the head from a controversial waxwork figure of Adolf Hitler on the opening day of Berlin's Madame Tussauds museum on Saturday, police said.

The man tore off the head in protest at the exhibit, the spokesman added. The police were alerted and arrested the man, who did not resist. He was being investigated for assault and damaging property.

Germany is understandably ashamed of Hitler's legacy. The article points out that is illegal "to show Nazi symbols and art glorifying Hitler". This got me to thinking about George W. Bush's legacy (that's right, Godwin's Law in reverse, I started with the Nazis and worked my way backwards to Bush).

I have to cut this short, but what do people think? Are we going to be ripping heads off George W. Bush statues 60 years from now? Or will people know better than to waste time making them in the first place?
