"For me he already is the American president," wrote one user of a Website about Obama's Berlin visit. "He may not be have been elected, but he's the president in people's hearts."
Drudge Report is currently linking to the this story from a German newspaper, discussing the events surrounding Obama's speech in Berlin tomorrow.
Obama has touched so many million's of Americans and I believe that many of us share that German's sentiment. He has done so much to break through color barriers, inspire so many and not to sound cliched but gave so many of us HOPE. We must not forget however that he is not the President. In a country where fear and terror can be aroused in an instant and where the opposition party is so good at arousing those feelings we must not waver or faulter, we must not give up fighting for what we believe. We must not take for granted that Obama will become the next POTUS, we must make it happen
Despite what the national polls say, Obama is the underdog. A black man named Hussein, in an a place where 12% of Americans still believe Obama was raised as a muslim, Barack is the underdog. If we are to make not only America's dreams a reality, but, as Obama's world tour has shown, the world's dreams, we must never stop fighting.
