Pew poll of Hispanic voters:
Obama 66, McCain 23
In New Mexico Hispanics make up 37% of the state's eligible electorate, in Florida 14%, in Nevada 12%, and in Colorado 12%.
Kerry states + Iowa + New Mexico + Colorado = 273 EV
Kerry states +IA +NM +CO -NH = 269 EV and the presidency almost certainly to Obama.

It seems to me that Latinos are far more intelligent politically than most give them credit for. After embracing Hillary because of name recognition, institutionalized support and more populist message they now are embracing Obama. This stands in contrast with the sisterhood that refuses to support Obama or donate to him and outperforms Kerry's results by 23% points.
If we exclude the more conservative Floridians, who were also included in this poll, Obama must be winning over this group even more impressively in NM, CO and NV. I'm also thinking that the CO convention will be a massive Hispanic volunteer identification effort.
I'm thinking McCain must be desperate to pick Romney to shore up the LDS vote in CO and NV.
What do you think Obama must do to shore up Latino support even more?
