Just saw this over at ThinkProgress and frankly, it scares the hell out of me that this administration could really be trying to get us into another war right as their time in office runs out. I know this is nothing new, but the idea of deliberately killing Americans (and not just merely sending them to the desert as pawns of war) is just repugnant. But that kind of thinking is what we've come to expect from Cheney, I suppose.

Hersh explained that, during the meeting in Cheney’s office, an idea was considered to dress up Navy Seals as Iranians, put them on fake Iranian speedboats, and shoot at them. This idea, intended to provoke an Iran war, was ultimately rejected...
And thank god it was ultimately rejected. Common sense prevails for once. But the fact that it was even considered proves what lunatics we have running the asylum until January.
