Is it time for Sen Obama to remove his gloves. To date Sen Obama has managed to respond to McCain lies and innuendo with diplomatic responses conferring all the respect and deference to McCain... But as Sen Obama has openly acknowledged even when McCain does not confer the same respect to him.
Having said that. McCain and the repugs have now shown their hand (like we didn't know that the would eventually get to this point). We now the facts are inconsequential to repugs and it does not matter that the sky is blue.... the repugs will hammer home that the sky is red, in face of all the contrary evidence.
So how does Sen Obama respond to this. For one thing I think it's time for Obama to take off the gloves. Not for Sen Obama to start lying or looking angry, that would be to fall into the repugs trap. He needs to be more hard hitting in his responses and ads. But this will be a fine line i'll admit Sen Obama does not to come off as angry.
The focus on article below that McCains attacks are having an impact on the polls may be true, erasing most of Sen Obama post Iraq lead, but then again this drop in the poll can also be fleeting only time will tell notably the next week. One thing I know is that Sen Obama needs to go on a stronger offensive than he has over the last few days he has been mainly responding to Sen McCain...Sen Obama has been able to use the media as a cover to substantiate his response to McCain's lies about him not visiting US troops in Germany. But as we all know the media can not and should not be counted on as a reliable source for the truth. What do you think? Will McCain's latest race baiting be sustained? Or is this just a blimp..?
For Obama, The Latest News Is Not Good

John McCain's current ads and comments on Obama are false, ridiculous and beneath contempt. But they are working. The public is lapping up McCain's garbage. And Obama better do something to change that if he wants to be the next president.
McCain's success in taking the low road is reflected in the two big national tracking polls -- by Gallup and Rasmussen -- that canvass approximately 1,000 people every day and report a three-day moving average of results. Gallup's latest results show that, as of Friday, the race has become a dead heat, with Obama and McCain each with 44 per cent of the vote. Rasmussen's latest surveys show Obama ahead by a single point, 47 to 46. That means Obama has lost virtually the entire lead he gained on his trip abroad.
