BREAKING - Just Reached 200 Individual Contributions!
American hero and fellow Orange to Blue candidate Jon Powers is only 32 contributions away. Please help him to cross the finish line. We believe in Better Democrats across the country!
Then feel free to come back and contribute to Annette one more time as we get closer to our filing deadline!
This cycle, Bush-Rubberstamp Republicans are trying to distance themselves from the failed policies of the Administration. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, however, Annette Taddeo's opponent in the race to represent Florida-18 (Miami Beach, downtown Miami, and the Florida Keys), has a special connection to the Bush family. She's been Bush-approved since 1989.
Bush Rubberstamp Ros-Lehtinen: "Anything you say, Mr. President!"
In 1989, Jeb Bush was the campaign manager for Ros-Lehtinen's first run for Congress. Ros-Lehtinen doesn't mention it now, but Jeb Bush managed it, as source after source shows.
Ros-Lehtinen is trying to hide her Bush connections, just like she's trying to hide her record of overwhelming support for the interests of Bush and the national Republican Party against the interests of her constituents in South Florida.
But this year, she's not getting away with it. With your help, Annette Taddeo is showing the families of South Florida that there's a real choice - that they can elect a woman who will vote to expand SCHIP and end the war in Iraq, who will invest in a renewable energy future and will fight for a woman's right to reproductive freedoms.
The Netroots have been amazing to Annette, and most recently she received the Orange to Blue endorsement and was added to Orange to Blue's ActBlue Page. The response in just two days has been tremendous. At the time of this writing, 178 contributorshave donated $6,016.90 to our campaign to turn South Florida Blue.
Financial Filing Deadline Tonight!
Please join them and help us reach our Orange to Blue goal of 200 individual contributorsbefore midnight tonight, when we have a pre-primary reporting deadline.
Annette wishes she could be here right now. She diaried yesterday, and will be back plenty more between now and November - and after. But, it's the last day before the reporting deadline, so Annette is burning up the phone lines!
She told us to make sure we let the community know how grateful she is by this outpouring of support for her campaign to bring new leadership to South Florida.
We know it's not the same as having Annette here, but we will be here to take any questions or comments, and relay any messages that you have for Annette back to her.
Thank you so much again - your support means so much to Annette and to the staff.
