The second "celeb" ad cries out for a response, and to my mind, it should be based on McCain's lifelong disconnect from the financial problems of the average American family. It could come either from the Obama campaign, or from the DNC.
It would start with the same music, and then:
"Life as a multimillionaire must be grand... but for the rest of us, life is tough. John McCain reports a net worth of over 20 million dollars. He owns 6 houses, while the rest of us struggle to hold onto our family home. He can take the family jet, and not worry about fuel costs - can he understand the real issues of fuel costs to the average American family? "
"His family can afford to carry over $100,000 in credit card debt without breaking a sweat. Senator McCain has always had easy money. Can anyone who wears shoes costing $500 understand the financial problems of the rest of us?"
Of course, once the real experts at this worked it over, they could put together a better version.
