This little blurb in the Financial Times should give people something to talk about besides the Edwards Affair:
Joe Lieberman, the former Democratic vice-presidential nominee who has endorsed John McCain, is being vetted as a potential running mate for the Republican presidential hopeful, according to an adviser to Mr McCain’s campaign.

We knew this was a probability but, honestly, did not think it would come true.
Not only would this put republicans up in arms but, democrats as well.
But, look on the bright side: At least the two sides can agree on something!!
Liebermann has done Zell Miller one better. He is concidering being the republican nominee for vp.
How many can say they were the failed vp choice for a losing ticket on both sides?
I am imagining Barack Obama picking Joe Biden for vp and John McCain going ahead and picking his little rat, Liebermann, and the two facing off in the vice presidential debate.
I relish this thought. Imagine Joe Biden destroying that little rat on national television.
The money quote of the whole article is this:
"[McCain] loves Lieberman. And he is on the [short-]list because Lieberman has never embarrassed anyone, never misspoken. The first rule is, don’t take someone who costs you votes," said one McCain adviser.
Let's hope McCain actually does this and Liebermann accepts. If this does happen:
"Conservatives would be pissed as hell – I think you would have a revolt, but sometimes John does what John wants to do," the McCain adviser said.
All those republicans up in arms and not voting for McCain would give us our hoped for, not just victory but, landslide and that would be so sweet.
