Every year this happens. Every year they come for me. Every year I manage to weasel my way out of it.
But not this year.
This year, they got me. I am being detained for my "past activities." In a manner completely contrary to the Constitution, I am being locked up until I can prove myself worthy of release.
Another example of the Bush Justice department gone awry?
Judicial activism at its worst?
Nope. Just a chance for you to help cure Muscular Dystrophy. I'm in the MDA Lockup in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I need your help to get out.
So click on my donation link and help Jerry's Kids in Eastern Carolina.

By day, I am a mild mannered attorney, diligently working for my clients. For proof of this, please see the photograph below, taken at 10 in the morning, just yesterday, as I diligently worked. The beer was on my desk, someone left it there. I was just moving it. Honest.
So, there I was just, ahem, working. Then in come the MDA jackboots, and the next thing I know, I'm dressed in orange, which is how I'll stay if you don't click and give:
Why they shaved my eyebrows and left me under that tanning light, I will never understand, as long as I live. Unfortunately, Prof. Yoo says they can get away with it. As you can see, however, my spirit is undaunted, and my smile remains.
Why?
Because I, and you, have a chance to help cure a disease which cripples thousands of children. We can find the cure.
You can help by donating.
$85 - Fund One Minute of Research
$100 - Support Group Session
$800 - Send one child to MDA Summer Camp
$2,000 - Assist with Wheelchair or Leg Braces
I need to raise $5,000 to get out of the clink. Can you help me?
Please, resist all urges to keep me locked up. As you can see, I can post from jail, so you won't get any benefit at DailyKos from failing to help.
If you do help, by clicking here and donating, you will get a benefit. You'll get the benefit of knowing you have helped fight a wicked disease and helped a child have fun at camp, or helped families attend therapy to cope with the struggles of illness and paralysis.
Thanks!
I'm DrFrankLives (aka John Burns) and I approved this message.
