Did anyone else notice the rhetoric used in Obama's new ad attacking McCain's dismal record on the economy?
In addition to tying McCain to Bush, Iraq War spending and Iraq's Oil surplus, Obama talks about ending the war in Iraq, spending more on schools and a middle class tax break.
But there was an interesting phrase that stuck out for me.
More, including the ad, after the fold...
Here's the new ad, entitled "Book."
This is the phrase that stuck out for me:
"End the war responsibly."
To my knowledge, this was the first time the Obama folks have used this framing so explicitly. Up until now, the quote that stuck in my head about Obama's plan for getting out of the war was.
"We must be as careful getting out, as we were careless getting in."
However now the Obama campaign seems to be utilizing the framing spearheaded by our favorite candidate Darcy Burner. and her Responsible Plan for Iraq.
I don't think Obama is endorsing Burner's plan just yet, but I think it speaks volumes that he is adopting her language on the issue.
Go Darcy!
