While I was out...
ONE MILLION, NINE-HUNDRED NINETY-TWO THOUSAND PLUS SOME! I don't do math well, but that's pretty fracking close to TWO MILLION! Sorry about the yelling; I'm in despair for Obama's chances. That can't possibly stack up to McCain's celebrity power!
Why can't he close the deal? Dear God, why are the polls so close?!
Here's the desperate plea I received from the flailing campaign:
You can make history in the next few hours.
We're within striking distance of 2 million people owning a piece of this movement.
Our message of change is reaching parts of this country that are rarely touched by presidential campaigns. Supporters like you are organizing a true 50-state strategy to bring as many people as possible into the political process.
Check out this video of Ohio supporters painting a barn in rural Trumbull County to support this campaign for change.
Make a donation of $25 or more to help reach this historic goal.
Video: Barns for Obama
Times are tough from big cities to small towns -- and folks are clearly ready for something new.
Painting barns is a proud community tradition in rural Ohio. Joe, a farmer in Trumbull County, offered up the side of his family's barn, and local supporters donated their creativity and time to spread our message of change.
These neighbors came together to strengthen our movement, and the same is happening all across the country.
People know that our country needs to change course -- and they believe in their own ability to make it happen.
I hope you'll make a contribution today to grow our movement and make history with 2,000,000 donors:

We're all counting on each other to bring the change our country needs.
Thanks for everything you are doing,
Barack
