I'm curious as to whether anybody has any opinions about this.
I know... I know... we should all just go to bed and forget about the VP issue for the next few days until the announcement.
However, I can't get my mind off of something:
Why is the announcement being made via text/email?
It seems to me that this is meant to directly reach people like us: bloggers and texters.
Why do this?
My suspicion is that this is either something we want to hear, or something that will be difficult for us to hear.
For example, I suspect that if we get a text that reads the name of a Democrat beloved by Kossacks, then there will be millions of young people partying in the streets this week.
However, it could be a name that we don't want to hear, in which case the campaign just wants to contact us directly in order to deal with this issue head-on, especially if it's a choice we don't like.
Anybody have any thoughts on this?
