No not THAT Gore, silly.
Lesley Gore, of the sixties "girl group" era.
Acclaimed singer Lesley Gore was born in New York City on May 2nd, 1946. Born to a Jewish family, her original name was Lesley Sue Goldstein. She was raised in Tenafly, New Jersey.

In 1963, Gore released her first hit, "It's My Party," when she was just sixteen years old and a junior at Dwight School for Girls in Englewood, New Jersey. "It's My Party" rocketed to number 1 on the charts and remains her best-known song.

In 1964, Gore would deliver one of her most critically-acclaimed and memorable performances with the smash hit "You Don't Own Me," a sultry, effusive, and masterful achievement in songwriting and singing.

In 2005, Gore released her most recent album "Ever Since." Coincidentally, 2005 is the same year that Gore revealed publicly that she is a lesbian. She stated that her sexual orientation is something she discovered in her twenties and had decided against revealing publicly. One of the characters in the film "Grace of my Heart" - a woman who struggles with her sexual orientation - is based on Lesley Gore.
Personally, I think Lesley Gore would make a fantastic Vice President. She's smart, she's attractive as all get out, and she's comletely comfortable in her own skin. She could help with the 60+ vote, the Jewish vote, the lesbian vote, and the 60+ Jewish lesbian vote.
Think about it.
