In spite of the current front-page diary by smintheus, it appears that some of the die-hard Hillary folk are, indeed whining about the choice of Biden:

A top Clinton advisor also told CNN they were "outraged," over how the process was conducted.
"You can't put Eric Holder and Carolyn Kennedy on an hour plane ride to Chappaqua just to check the box? They should have done it just for the optics," this person said....
"They thought her supporters were mad before? They are really mad now," this person also said. We knew it was never going to happen but you would have thought they might at least make a show of it."
OK, two three quick and obvious points:
- So, it would be more respectful of Clinton for Obama to pretend that Hillary had a shot just to humor her? She had to know straight out that it wasn't gonna happen; for him to tease her by "making a show" of considering her would have been mocking and cruel. I know that's how I would have taken it.
Update: 2. As several have pointed out in the comments below, one of Hillary's biggest talking points throughout the entire primary was that she had already been "vetted to death" via her years in the crosshairs of the GOP. Therefore, what the hell else was there for Obama's people to learn about her that they didn't already know?
- "They're REALLY mad now!!"??? Oooooh, scarrrry!! They already claim that they're gonna vote for McCain--what're they gonna do now, vote for him TWICE?? Sheesh.
Sadly (but not surprisingly), even Paul Begala got into the pouty-lip act:
Former Clinton strategist Paul Begala echoed similar frustrations on CNN Friday night.
"I think there are a lot of Hillary voters who are going to say, 'Hey, wait a minute, man You said you were going to put her on the short list. You know, you didn't even vet her. You didn't call her. You didn't seek her advice,'" Begala said. "By the way, he didn't seek President Clinton's advice either. He's actually the guy who I think picked the best vice president in American history. You would think maybe you would sort of check in with him."
Sheesh.
Meanwhile, I decided to take a peek over at Hillaryis44; no surprises there:
"Big Media tool Barack Obama has finally made a decision and chosen Big Media favorite Joe Biden to join the Chicago circus. Biden is an experience patch on the flat tire of experience which is Barack Obama. This deflated tire won’t roll."
Gah.
Oh, slightly off-topic, but I whipped this up yesterday inspired by a comment by chicago jeff:
UPDATE #2: tuneresq has posted a diary which makes it clear just how stupid this faux outrage is--turns out that Hillary specifically requested NOT to be vetted unless he planned on putting her on the ticket.
