Don't see this diaried anywhere, so I thought I'd do a quick diary on it.
Was just over at BarackObama.com to donate (yet again, sombody help me, I can't stop!), and to check out the new diggs (website design updates etc). While doing that I ran into this video of Barack campaigning in Davenport, Iowa this morning.
Cynthia Freidhof, the owner of Ross' restaurant in Davenport, had a question about small businesses and wanted Barack to
1 - Answer her question about small businesses and
2 - to help her convince her husband to vote for him.
Well Barack did her one better. Check out the video over the fold:
Now isn't that something? How can you not want to vote for this man? No wonder he won Iowa going away. Let me not spoil the video. Just watch.....
p.s. Enjoy watching the convention activities tonight folks. I can't wait to see Michelle and Ted Kennedy tonight!
UPDATE: Some have asked for a brief synopsis of the contents of the video. So I borrowed Kfred's (from comments) brief account of the video, so here's kinda what happened -
Local small business woman gets called on to pose4 a question of Barack. She explains that her restaurant sells "Magic Mountains"*. Her hubby isn't sold on Barack yet, he could go either way. His concern is what will Barack do to ease things for small biz.
Barack says - I'll answer here and also you call him and I'll tell him.
Small businesses deserve tax breaks to grow unlike those Exxon's who get gazillion dollar breaks. [Yes, he used the word gazillion].
She called her hubby, he's on lunch break, Obama repeats his stance as being pro-small business. He says he'll follow up with him as needed.
Totally extemporaneous.
