Ok....Monday night was Senator Kennedy's night as well as the re-introduction of Michelle Obama. Both went as brilliantly as could have been expected. The Obama campaign has promised, however, that unlike the past two DNC's, this one will go right after the opposition.
Obviously, Night 1 was NOT the night they were going to go after
McCain and Bush. I hope the Obama campaign will not squander any more precious free
air time without telling voters what a disaster the Bush administration has been in both
foreign and domestic policy, and how John McCain represents and even more unstable
and dangerous threat to our safety than the Bush administration. As long as John McCain is president we shall not have neither peace nor prosperity.
Because if John McCain is elected president millions of young men across the Muslim world will organize to make sure hundreds of dirty bombs go off all over the United States. John McCain's judgment and temperament make him unfit to be Commander-In-Chief. If we cannot utter these words from the podium of the Democratic National Convention then we deserve to lose.
In 2004, it was incumbent upon Kerry to say that 9/11 happened on George Bush's watch
and that 9/11 happened while he was missing in action.
I am anxiously awaiting to see whether our leaders in the Democratic Party really believe that four more Republican years is really worth doing EVERYTHING to prevent. I want to see if we hate these right-wing bastards as much as they hate us. Let's see how much we want to l resist fascism--because if we are not already there, we are inexorably headed there.
