So Obama is an "empty suit"...
What does "empty suit" mean?
Is it graduating Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law vs. John McCain graduating 894th out of 899th from the Naval Academy?
Is it working hard to become the first black President of the Harvard Law Review, a State Senator and then US Senator at the age of 43 or is it marrying an heiress whose fathers money and political connections in Arizona, jumpstarted your career?
Is it calling yourself a "maverick" and then rubberstamping 90% of everything George W Bush proposed these last 8 years? 100% of everything W supported over the last year?
Or is it getting caught up in one of the largest bank failures in US history and being the only Republican member of the Keating Five?
McCain's closet isn't full of empty suits. It is full of skeletons.
[Edited to correct the fact that McCain graduated 894 out of 899 instead of 594 out of 599 which I had written.]
Obama is somene who came from adversity and triumphed. John McCain came from a family of Admirals and when failing to become an Admiral himself, cheated on his first wife who by his own admission "disgusted" him after she was disfigured in a car crash to marry an heiress 17 years his junior.
Is that the type of suit we want in the White House?
McCain's "experience" is more of the same. When 80% of the country believes that the US is on the wrong track but 40%-45% are willing to vote for McCain something is seriously wrong.
McCain states that the economy is strong and people who are struggling with paying their bills should stop whining and get a second job. This is from a guy whose wife paid $273,000 last year to the domestic "help".
To their maids and landscapers!
Is that the kind of suit we want in the White House? McCain himself admits he is bad with money and his wife handles their 100 million dollar fortune.
Obama isn't perfect but he has accomplished far more than 99% of people in this country, and his judgement is more sound and track record far better than the man who wants to stay the course that George W Bush has us on.
By the way Obama's speech tonight was full of concrete policy points and it is time to use your own judgement and read both McCains plans and Obama's and make up your own mind.
If you are a real conservative you can always vote for Bob Barr or write in Ron Paul!
