Never has one word meant so much to so many people as we shall soon see.
For 7.5 years we have watched George Bush elect supreme court juctices that will jeopardize the rights of our mothers, daughters, granddaughters, sisters and nieces.
For 7.5 years we have watched George Bush squander away hard earned American tax dollars to his buddies in Haliburton, KBR and BlackWater.
For 7.5 years we have watched George Bush trample our civil liberties all in the name of National Security.
For 7.5 years we have watched George Bush embarrass our nation in front of the entire world.
For 7.5 we have watched George Bush put soldiers lives at risk based on false information and for twisted ideological reasons.
For the past 7.5 years I have watched George Bush literally destroy our country while I curled up in a little ball still shocked that Al Gore lost the 2000 election and still shaken by 9-11.
Due to the past 7.5 years, I have become very disgruntled about politics and the Democratic party. I would have elected Charles Manson (obviously I am kidding) as my candidate if I thought he could win as a democrat. I watched the first part of his speech excited about the crowd and hoping the pundits would be impressed. I actually started believing the pundits that Barack Obama could actually lose this race. Tonight as I watched this speech I prayed Barack Obama would get elected. I knew he could give an eloquent speech, but I have never seen him get angry.
Then out of nowhere in the midst of a line that I thought was leading upto a bipartisan call for peace, I heard the word that will change this election "enough!" With one word something happened to our candidate. It was if he were Sylvester Stallone in Over the top and he turned his hat around. I always knew he was a tough policians, as Chicago politics is no joke, but I had never really seen it (he really couldn't get this mad @ hillary for various reasons).
With that one phrase his entire demeanor and image changed. This was a president that Americans could believe will protect them. I believe we just elected a fighter for all of us.
To my fellow democrats, I say "enough" we dont have to take their lies and bullshit anymore. Stand up and fight for what you believe and we just might elect the best person for the job.
