CNBC's John Harwood has reported that sources inside the McCain campaign have confirmed Palin as the nominee.
CBS News reported that Palin's parents were told to come back from caribou hunting to watch something "exciting" on TV.
Other reports confirmed that a private jet from anchorage landed outside Dayton carrying one woman and two teenagers.
ABC News however reported that Palin was actually going to the state fair in anchorage today and would not be traveling to Ohio.
