UPDATE #2: CNN just announced that Obama got his first national security briefing today and that Biden's, McCain's, and Palin's will follow. But she doesn't have a security clearance. Given her and her family's seperatist connections, could this be a problem? What would happen if McCain's vp couldn't get a security clearance? Inquiring minds want to know.
Josh Marshall, under the title of "We're Outta Here" notes that Todd Palin was, until 2002, and that
This afternoon, the director of Division of Elections in Alaska, Gail Fenumiai, told TPMmuckraker that Todd Palin registered in October 1995 to the Alaska Independence Party, a radical group that advocates for Alaskan secession from the United States.
Marshall notes, coincidentally, that 2002 was the year that Sarah Palin first ran for statewide office.
Of course, I'm sure McCain had this information after his vetting team returned from Alaska, having checked out all public records regarding Todd Palin.
What? What's that you say?
Oh....
Anyway, here's another nugget for the Palindrome.
As an extra added diversion, the batboy returns crowd (Palin's base, I'm thinking) is getting a little eye candy at their supermarket check out stands:
I think the mourning period begins soon. It's not looking good for the governor.
MAJOR UPDATE RELATED TO NOTHING CONTAINED IN THIS DIARY: CNN is reporting that John McCain has canceled today's scheduled interview on Larry King due to Campbell Brown's interview with Tucker Bounds yesterday! Holy Shit. This is imploding.
