The fur is starting to fly, folks, and Sarah Palin's lawyer may have bit off more than he could chew.
Not only did Palin's lawyer, Thomas V. Van Flein, send a letter to Steven Branchflower, the investigator overseeing the TrooperGate probe, essentially questioning the jurisdiction of the AK Senate to investigate the TrooperGate matter, he then told Branchflower to turn over investigative info on Palin.
Van Flein's letter is here in PDF:

But Branchflower wisely sent the letter to AK Senator Hollis French (Dem) who had a slighly different take on the matter. In fact, he took poor ol' Mr. Van Flein to the woodshed, but very diplomatically, I must admit.
Here's French's response, must-reading for all:

I would be surprised if Palin's lawyers did not try to string this out to November 5th.
