What do you all think of the McCain campaign's current strategy of demonizing the media or should I say its retread of old republican strategy?
The republican strategy of blame the media is older than McCain but Palin is attracting the attention of other outlets such as US weekly and the National Enquirer and those outlets have deeper pockets than most in the MSM these days. Unfortunately, we all know people who will sell us out for a dime and I'm sure Palin is no different.
But,I think its odd that the McCain campaign has called attention to a story in the National Enquirer when most would not have given the story a second glance. Typically, I never believe what I read but I have often been proven wrong. For instance, I would have never believed that Edwards was involved in an affair until it was confirmed by Edwards himself.
I'm not sure if this is part of their strategy or a campaign in flux. Usually, democrats attract this kind of attention because of republican dirty tricks. Maybe republican strategists are having difficulty responding when the shoe is on the other foot.
BTW, what #*@hole decided to schedule McCain's speech at the beginning of football season?
