Now that both conventions are over, we can get back to the nuts and bolts of this, now doubly historic campaign are. Debates and being out meeting voters. We can get back to the issues that real Americans face. Not just the ones sitting in Minneapolis, or St. Paul for that matter.

Now comes word from Politco.com that Harry Reid intends to bring on the heat in the Senate to close out this race. Follow me below the fold

Check out the resolutions on the agenda.
A new stimulus package
Tax incentives to company who invest in renewable energy
Equal pay for women
War appropriations bill
Republicans will probably call this grandstanding and "purely partisan" action from the "do-nothing" Senate. The beauty of it though is that each of the resoultions offer REAL solutions for REAL problems facing the "small-town" Americans the RNC like to talk about. And the American certainly cannot refute solutions, no matter what your opinion, if the othe side have made it clear that this election is officially NOT about issues. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/...
So to wrap it up. In the next 2 months we are going to see at best legislation, at worst a household discussion(thanks 24-hour news) about more money for struggling families, energy, gender equality, and Iraq war funding. Not exactly what the RNC wants after 4 days of saying the economy is fine, drill baby drill, making a completely sexist and demeaning VP pick(Manchurian Canddate?) and calling everyone who question it a sexist, and supporting a war Americans regardless of their views, want over
Ladies and Gents this is the culmination of us going to the polls in 2006 and "throwing the bums out".
We, thru a Democratic Senate, get to put OUR agenda on the table, to run concurrent with the one Obama/Biden will be pushing on the trail. Not to mention the play its going to get in the new cycles. 3 of the 4 most inportant issues this election are potentially on the table. And we will make Republicans stand up, grow a pair, force them to vote on issues. Pocketbook issues that affect eveyday Americans.
Republicans did the same thing in 2000 and 2004 by placing wedge issues on ballots and congessional grandstanding on hot-button issues. I guess its OK to burn flags and have gay marriage now, nationwide
Our issues are legit. Senator McCain likes to say he's a straight talker, now we will what he does. Its shit or get off the pot time for McCain. You want to talk reform and change in Washington, well Harry has given you you're chance. But as we all know, men his age often have bowel movement issues. My guess is the same people who convinced him Plain, oops!!!, Palin was a good pick will hire a bunch of lawyers to see if the can delay the votes until ater the election.

The RNC seems to be doing that alot lately
