Now is not the time for us to focus on Palin. It simply does not work! We are all being USED by the media as their excuse to make this woman into a pop culture star.
Face it, America likes bad, nasty women. Men want the woman that loves sex and talks mean. Women love the woman that has it all and tells her man what to do. So stop thinking that demonizing this woman is going to somehow help Obama.
We all continue to believe that our next blog will provide the media with the talking point that will end McCain's chances of becoming President.
Randi Rhodes, Keith O, Rachel Maddows all read these blogs, right? Randi has made a career out of screaming about why McCain and Bush were and are wrong for this nation, as have many in the media and yet Bush has served two terms, and McCain is even with Obama in the polls. Negative news is still news. The majority of folks move towards bad news, while others might move away from it. After all, shouldn't we choose McCain this time because this is his last chance to be president? Come on, where is your compassion?
What did negative press do for Britney and Paris's career? Certainly did not hurt it.
It was this that sparked an idea. McCain's folks remembered that bad was good. Yes, I believe that they vetted Palin to the extent that they found exactly what they were looking for--a woman that had just enough dirt to mix things up. They knew that too clean would be boring, so they did not go with Tim or Joe, or Ridge.
They chuckled about how the media would eat this chick up and how everyone would be stumbling all over themselves to find out everything they could about her. They knew that the press would follow them around and in so doing, get the McCain's "Obama is wrong" message out there.
Palin is admitting to flaws in her families life. She is admitting to being just like us. This of course makes folks like her even without knowing her, because they feel that they see themselves in her. This somehow suggests that she is not above them.
The GOP has won elections by suggesting that our candidates are somehow better than the regular American. This has been the clam the GOP has lodged about Obama. The flaws got both Bush and Clinton elected. They were not perfect they were both deeply flawed candidates. Microsoft has mastered the concept of admitting the flaws and capitalizing on them.
The belief that somehow, we know how to effectively shape America's perception of Palin and McCain, is grand in scope and shallow in reality. I believed Palin's negatives were enough to stop this insane notion that she should be an acceptable candidate for Vice President. I admit here today, that I was wrong. I thought that also about Bush. I now understand that the problem that McCain had was that he was boring and so the media had nothing to say about him. That has all changed. Now what?
The real truth. Bad press is just as effective as good press. Hillary proved this. She wanted the cameras following her every step and this was possible only when she attacked Obama, when Bill made gaffes, or when there was some doubt about what she might say next.
The McCain campaign is building intrigue. When this women steps out to speak to the media, everyone will tune in. If they wait long enough, everyone will be sitting on the edge of their seat as they did at the convention, waiting to hear her lies, and then to play them over and over again. This of course will cause folks to adopt them as the gospel, including many Obama supporters who are still on the fence, or who are not politically savvy.
When she does talk to a reporter, no matter what they ask her, she will simply say "Obama is wrong/unsafe for the country and McCain is right/safe for the country."
The interviewer will not be tough because they would have promised to give her the questions ahead of time in order to garner the first interview. In essence, they will handle her with kit gloves.
Don't feed into the media hype. Don't continue to believe that bad media is wrong for this candidate. You are wrong if you do. You are working for the ENEMY...as Obama said...lay off! Get smart! Think about this. Is Martha Stewart worse off after going to jail? Absolutely not! Her net worth is far greater. Point made.
