I don't know about you, but I am completely fired up after watching segments of Obama's speech in Terre Haute today.
John McCain speaks of change now, but we have been speaking about change since Iowa. In fact, we've been speaking about change since 2007 when McCain was voting with Bush. (more on that below the fold).
I'm asking you to donate $5.00 with me tonight. There is no way that collectively we can't do $2,300 collectively. I know we are all tapped out, but you can do $5.00. Here is my goal o meter.

feel free to add your own link below the thread Post what you pledge so we can get a running total.
I want to share this part of Obama's speech with you one more time:
John McCain has said that change is coming!
Now think about this coming from the party that's been in charge for 8 years, they've been running the show! Been up in the White House, John McCain brags, '90% of the time I have voted with George Bush. He and I we we're right there' and suddenly he's the change agent!
He says I'm going to tell those lobbyists that their days in Washington are over. Who's he gonna tell? Is he gonna tell his campaign chairman who's one of the biggest corporate lobbyists in Washington? Is he going to tell all the folks who are running his campaign who are the biggest corporate lobbyist in Washington? Who is it that he's going to tell that change is coming?
I mean come on! They must think you're stupid!
Now let's remember which is the party of change. Watch this video of Obama in Selma, Alabama and then remember what kind of Change John McCain is talking about. I have never been as moved as I have when I was there at Brown's Chapel to hear this speech.
Do not let anyone get fooled. Obama/ Biden is the party of change. The party of people like John Lewis who got beat to a pulp marchng across the Edmund Pettus bridge on Bloody Sunday in Selma but today in 2008 opened an Obama office in Pensacola, Fla. great Kos diary by Literacy about that event
Seeing from pictures of that event today, there were young and old , black and white, male and female, rich and poor that were present. That is the party of change. That is our party that talks about the issues. Let's remember that as we open our hearts tonight and our wallets collectively.
and I close with this video of Obama in Selma in 2008. now this is change we can all believe in. not telling our lobbyist friends something and giving them a wink.
