I'm standing in the bank, patiently waiting in line to make a deposit. My major financial institution, like most, has television screens in every corner, usually tuned to a major news network. Today, thankfully, it was CNN, not Faux. But Sarah Palin is on the screen, making her usual ridiculous, hypocritical statements. And then, I hear it, and the room begins to spin...
"I told Congress, 'Thanks but no thanks,' on that Bridge to Nowhere."
Huh. Because, actually, you said, "Thank you, Sir, may I have another." And then your state kept the blank check for - what was it, again? - oh yeah, $200 million. Or something like that? With these big numbers, it's really hard to keep track of the exact amount.
How long will she repeat this lie? I suppose until someone calls her out on it. But she can't be called out on it until she gives an interview, and that's not going to happen for a while. And even then, will the media (ABC, I'm looking at you...) have the balls to get down to the issues? To question her about her beliefs, policies, and statements? Or will it be a sob story, soft-focus, arena for Gov. Palin to expound on her mistreatment by the media? I suspect the latter.
Anyway, I feel this is important because if the McCain Campaign wants to steal the "Change" mantra from Obama, it's essential that they are exposed as the lying sacks of sh!t that they are. They aren't reformers. They won't be fiscally responsible. They will drive us in to more debt, and continue to destroy any vestige of economic strength that will be left over from 8 years of Bushie.
STOP THE LIE!
