This is not an intellectual blog entry. It's about action. We can't possibly win any offices in this election, until everyone (and that means you) takes action ...
Here is what you can do for Democrats in the upcoming election:
(1) Learn the rules in your state regarding voter registration. Figure out whether you have friends who don't vote, and get them registered. Use the history of this country to make it clear to them that not voting is unnacceptable.
(2) Talk to everyone you know, about why we have to have Democrats elected this year. Get the policy papers, which explain why Democrats are so much stronger on every single issue that concerns the American people - such as green energy, green jobs, taxes, H/C, soc. sec. privatization, and Iraq. If your friends are confused about the "they" who attacked us on 9/11, let's be clear about who the "they" was.
(3) Let everyone know (including yourself) that there's no excuse for standing by, and waiting for a third Bush term. If they can't give money, then ask them to go down to their local office, and give us a few phone calls, or enter data, put together packets, etc. If they can't do that, then make some food for our/your local Obama/Dem. staffers. It's very important that we get together now, and work our hearts out.
(4) Above all, please forget the media.. I can tell you - as a tireless canvasser, that the American people are with us, they are with Democrats.
This isn't the time to lay down on the job. We need hard work from everyone.
