Yeah, I heard you calling out "DailyKos" today,
and I'm onto you, but, frankly, I've been 'onto you' for months.
When your new show broke onto the scene, as a former "Imus" viewer,
I was intrigued. And I watched. But after months of hearing Obama bashed relentlessly, I was through. (My husband must have the stomach for your imbecile rants... there are times I hear the noise in the background). You obviously enjoy tearing the progressives 'a new one,' but you don't read all the emails you received from me, and probably others.
So.. you wanna bash us, but you don't wanna listen.
Oh, I get it. Freedom of speech. You have a show. We don't.
But we have our wonderful DailyKos.
You express yourself. WE express ourselves.
So today you called out DailyKos for the horrible criticism of
Governor Palin. You blame DailyKos for the negative public perception of Governor Palin; it was, to you and that pitiful bobblehead Mika (have you no shame?) as if DailyKos beat her up for no discernable reason, and threw her to the wolves. Poor Little Palin.
Frankly, Joe, 'throwing her to the wolves' is a timely metaphor, considering her treatment of the wolves in her state. But I digress...
DailyKos, and all the progressive websites and blogs are doing YOUR job.
Yep; as a 'journalist,' YOU have a job besides sitting on the set of your show, being sardonic, sarcastic, and annoying. Your job, and the job of all the lackeys who waste your airspace, is to objectively examine the experience, education, and appropriateness of Palin, and others as possible leaders. Somehow, these past days, it's obvious that many of our esteemed journalists have swallowed the kool-aide, and think, like Senator McCain, that vetting isn't necessary. (I am sick to death of hearing that she has 'executive experience.' What a joke....My plumber has more 'executive experience' than she does, and he's not running for public office).
As you so aptly demonstrated in your months-long evisceration of Senator Obama, it's necessary to see all the warts, all the flaws, every pore and pit. So, if you can bloviate about Rev. Wright for months on end ("I can't believe he sat in those pews for twenty years, and not agree with that filth..." I believe you said endlessly), then I think the progressives on the intertubes have that same freedom of speech to treat other candidates in the same manner.
I am appalled and angered that you, and so many other journalists, consider Governor Sarah Palin as a suitble candidate for the office of Vice-President. I am appalled that you continue to waste our space, and that you have the audacity (yes, I used that word!) to criticize US for doing what you refuse to do.
P.S.
Joe, yes there were some bloggers who spent far too much time on the daughter and her unfortunate situation. But it wasn't the focus of DailyKos; if you spend any amount of time here, you might perceive a sense of honor and dignity to the majority of posters.
