The last week or so I've thought about the many polls going on concerning the election and I've decided to implement my own. I'm an attention seeker so I'm going to go ahead and name it after myself I'll call it the "Frozen Democrat 2008 Poll"
What the hell is that you say?
Well first of all let me give you some numbers.
OBAMA 28 (13)
BIDEN 5 (4)
MCCAIN 49 (2)
PALIN 48 (3)
No these aren't your typical numbers. They're not popular vote or electoral vote numbers. There was no accounting for party identification either.
Is this poll biased?
As a matter of fact it is. In fact these poll numbers all came from mainly Progressive Liberal Democrats.
Grim numbers indeed if they had come from the MSM but instead these are just the number of appearances each name made on the front page of DailyKos. The numbers in parenthesis are the number of times that name appears in ads on the front page so take away the ads and the differences are more glaring
MCCAIN 47
PALIN 45
OBAMA 15
BIDEN 1
Now to me the most glaring numbers are the differences between Palin's and Obama's. Have we lost sight of what we think Obama represents? How the hell can people around here find what Palin is doing more interesting than Obama? So far its been a brilliant trick for McCain to take the spotlight off of Obama and put it onto his own campaign. And I feel all of us around here (myself included) have fallen for it hook, line, and sinker. If we keep focusing on Palin I'm convinced we lose the election. Why is that you ask?
Here's why.
Yeah Bentsen totally skewered Quayle with what was probably one of the greatest debate zingers of all-time. In the end it didn't matter that Quayle was unqualified (sound familiar) because Americans didn't care about the VP and the same will be true this year.
So get it out of your system Kossacks because when midnight CDT rolls around on saturday night I won't be reading any of your Palin diaries anymore.
