This is going to be one of those short diaries that many people hate. However, since it's an action item, I thought it was important enough to stand on it's own. This morning on their crawl, MSNBC had the following:
John McCain defended 2 ads attacking Barack Obama.
More after the jump.
I fired off an e-mail to MSNBC explaining that continuing to lie about Sarah Palin's record on earmarks and the "Bridge to Nowhere" is hardly a defense, and they should change the crawl to say either; "John McCain can't defend ads" or "View hosts call out John McCain on untrue ads". Well they didn't take my exact suggestions, but the crawl now says:
John McCain defended 2 television ads attacking Barack Obama and erroneously claiming that running mate Sarah Palin never sought money for pet projects as Alaska's Governor.
Obviously it would make more sense, grammatically and otherwise, if it said 'by' instead of 'and', but the fact is they did change it. In addition they follow it up with another crawl item:
Governor Palin has sought nearly $200 million in earmarks this year alone.
It feels good to have accomplished even this small bit in fighting back against the constant crap the media is trying to feed people. If Chuck Todd thinks replacing KO and Tweety with Rove-and-Kristol-admiring David Gregory, is the antidote to bias he's in for a rude awakening.
UPDATE: Thanks everyone. First time on Rec List. I guess there's not much competition on Saturday nights. This is making my Culver's Fried Chicken taste even better than it usually does. Thanks again.
UPDATE 2: Look's like I got some wing nut's attention. Have a laugh at this email:
Since the "Progressive" KOS can't stand debate on policy, I have decided to debate those who are willing to stand behind a REAL name or email address. Your article "MSNBC caves again...this time to me" seems to suggest, beyond your obvious "self" that a news organization should not only support a "view" but YOUR "view"????????? Have you ever heard of "Unbiased Reporting"??????
God Bless
