I decided to use my dairy to show a couple of videos.
First, the Rove-Bush-Cheney-McCain spin team is trying to say that an Obama ad is making light of John McCain's war injuries.
The Jed Report attacked this latest lie.
But there is another argument to be made: by the example of Stephen Hawking.
Note: I believe the Stephen Hawking video to be satire.
Nevertheless, the point that it makes is genuine.
Also, as a bonus, I posted another video from a former Hillary Clinton supporter.
First, this is the Obama ad that McSame is whining about:
McSame is saying that mean old Obama is picking on him because of his war injuries:
http://www.jedreport.com/...
Even as Karl Rove calls McCain's ads lies, he lies himself, claiming that the ad knocking McCain's e-mail illiteracy was a smear:
But they then say he doesn't even know how to use a -- you know, doesn't send e-mail. Well, this is because his war injuries keep him from being able to use a keyboard. He can't type. You know, it's like saying he can't do jumping jacks.
Well, there's a reason why he can't raise his arms above his head. There's a reason why he doesn't have the nimbleness in his fingers.
First of all, McCain now says he's learning how to use e-mail, and his campaign now claims he travels with a laptop. So unless Rove is (again) calling McCain a liar, then Rove's claim is false.
Second, there's plenty of photographic evidence that McCain does indeed have the dexterity to handle cell phones and BlackBerries, which are more difficult than keyboards.
And, as the Jed Report reminds us, McCain went on to regain his flight status after his POW experience (and this IS a genuine source of pride for him).
Note this video: forget his checking out Palin; notice that he messes with his wedding ring:
But debilitation isn't a reason for not being able to use a computer.
Note: I don't think that this is a genuine message from Stephen Hawking. I believe this to be satire.
This video reminds us that Stephen Hawking can indeed use a computer and he is about as debilitated as they come.
Now as a bonus, I offer a genuine video from a former Hillary Clinton supporter.
and here is one more: Hillary Clinton unloads on the Republicans with a classic line:
