Welcome back to our Depression, fellow Democrats!
Oh, you thought this was a national depression? No, no, no! You are mistaken. This depression isn't happening to Republicans... only to us.
The Republicans aren't in a depression; according to their president, they are just in a period of "adjustment":
"I know Americans are concerned about the adjustments that are taking place in our financial markets. At the White House and throughout my administration, we’re focused on them — and we’re working to reduce disruptions and minimize the impact of these financial market developments on the broader economy."
- President George W. Bush, September 15, 2008
The Republican economy, says their presidential candidate, is fundamentally "strong":
"Our economy, I think, still, the fundamentals of our economy are strong."
- John McCain, September 15, 2008
Just like Mitt Romney said in his convention speech, those East Coast liberals are to blame for everything going wrong with our nation, which is why everything bad happens on the East Coast... and you can't get much more East Coast than Wall Street:
Wall Street was a vastly different world Monday from what it looked like just days earlier, following one of the most harrowing days in the history of U.S. financial industry.
-CNN, September 15, 2008.
Liberals on the other coast and in the middle of the country are getting their just desserts too. If you look at the map, you can see that it's mostly "Blue" states that are experiencing a recession:
Furthermore, foreclosures mostly happen to Democrats too:

It's safe to say that Depressions are the fault of people who use credit cards, and obviously the people reaping the benefits of the Bush tax cuts don't need to pay for things with credit:
"The two years before October 1929 are another example of policy error caused by failure to consider money growth as a measure of the thrust of monetary policy. The United States was on the gold standard, but it did not follow gold standard rules. Gold flows were frequently sterilized. Growth of credit and member bank borrowing were the main guides for policy. The Federal Reserve's principal concerns were the rise in stock prices and the use of credit in the stock market."
- Allan H. Meltzer, before dinner address at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Conference, Monetary Policy in Theory and Practice, October 19, 2000
Republicans don't stand in line to eat soup...
When you own a rifle, dinner is whatever you want it to be, recession or not!
That's why Republicans want Sarah Palin to be their VP... she can teach the people to hunt, from helicopters or on foot. Hunting helps people survive, and in this country, it's survival of the fittest.
Oh, no! Not in the Darwinian sense, no! The reasons Depressions happen to Democrats is because we worship Darwin OVER God. God gives good Christian folk economic prosperity just because they ask for it.
Survival of the Fittest, in Republican terms, simply means: "I am better than you, AND I own guns, therefore I survive." It has nothing to do with Darwin.
