A very simple idea, very few Candidates seem to be doing it. What is that idea? Tying Republicans back to Bush on the War and budget deficits. We have gotten off on a dangerous tangent this election cycle. Ads with messages like this should help get us back to competitive in a lot of close races. This is the second great ad from Dan Seals (IL-10)
Let me make the obligatory plea for Dan Seals
Donate to Dan Seals and our other Congressional Candidates by going to our Act Blue page.
Dan Seals makes a strong and effective statement that More of the Same is not just about the Presidency but about the Republicans in Congress that have voted lock step with Bush every time.
I know there was another diary about this ad earlier. However, my reason for posting this is that this can and should be an effective message that we need to renew in all of our tight House and Senate elections.
We've got to run on continuous change. There are plenty of other races where we can find pictures of Incumbent and Challenging Republicans standing right next to George Bush.
For example take the language of the email I received from the Seals campaign with the ad. The name Mark Kirk can be inter-changed with any number of Congressmen in the house.
Since coming to office with with George Bush in 2001, Mark Kirk has consistently supported the President's failed policies—helping to craft the language to go to war with Iraq, voting for wasteful spending that has weakened our economy, and supporting energy policies that have helped the big oil companies more than consumers—and voted with Republican leadership nearly 90% of the time.
