It is hard to believe that someone would say, let alone write, let alone submit this letter. Submit to a newspaper for publication. But it was said, it was written, it was submitted, and it was published.
I have also wrestled this morning with whether the newspaper should be taken to task for publishing such garbage or whether the newspaper was slyly providing some context for the whole uppity debate sparked by Lynn Westmoreland. (The publishing newspaper is Lynn Westmoreland's home newspaper.) I am presently undecided.
Publishing this diary is as much therapy for me as anything else this morning. I had to share this with someone and share my sadness, disappointment, and outrage. Make no mistake, the stakes are incredibly high this time. Letter below.
Why we should elect McCain and Palin
I just wonder how many people have ever thought we would have a presidential election in the U.S. like we have today? To put an inexperienced kid in the office of President would be instant destruction for all the citizens in the U.S. There would be change all right.
He would have all unqualified black people in the government and have pictures of Martin Luther King Jr., Louis Farrahkan, Jesse Jackson, Cynthia McKinney and many others in the White House. Isn't that what all the brown and black mayors do?
No one likes the high price of gas and a lot of other things, but just look how well off and fortunate we in America are today. Think of how much better off we are and will be if we elect a proven President and such a determined and intelligent Vice President in John McCain and Sarah Palin.
To make this happen, the people in the U.S. need to get as many of these unregistered white people, as well as good, decent black people, to go register to vote. Make sure you get them registered, otherwise the freedom and blessings we now have may be taken away. With McCain and Palin in charge we should put a stop to all this unnecessary crime. Let's stand up for our rights.
