There are good ads, and there are great ads. Obama's new ad about Soc. Security is simply put amazing.
I know WE know how bad Bush/McCain era could be and we are fully aware of all the dangers that may be applied as a result of another Repub. administration. But regular people that do not pay attention to politics are not like us. They do not spend their mornings, afternoons and evenings clicking the "refresh" button on their browser's favorite political sites to get the slightest movement in the political spectrum. They do not even have favorite political sites. No, people tend to pay attention to much normal things: sports, shopping, gas prices, what to cook for dinner, who is going to be the next American idol, latest gossip on TMZ - you name it.
So I was so genuinely surprised to see such a powerful and effective ad coming from our nominee's campaign. If someone already created a diary about this ad, great - but if not, you should really watch it. It is short, precise and simple. It ties McBush, talks about the current economic CRISIS, displays how the irresponsible politics of McCain got us into this chaos and how eager he was to jeopardize senior citizens Soc. Security benefits by privatizing them and putting them in the hands of the stock market. Loads of info in a 30 second ad.
What I like most about it - it targets a group of voters that has always come through as far as voting dependability. Let's hope this age group realizes again what's at stake in this election and goes with the Democrats in 08.
Great job, Obama. We need more ads like that.
Thank you.
