The results have finally been tabbed and one of the nations favorite Representatives has won his re-election bid for the Republican primary. Don Young squeezed a victory with 304 points against Sarah Palin's Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell. Of course, Parnell will more than likely seek a recount, which can last 10 days.

In a close race only decided Wednesday with the final counting of about 350 outstanding absentee and questioned ballots, Young beat Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell by 304 votes.
State election officials will certify the election on Thursday.
Young will face Ethan Berkowitz, former House leader and Lt. Gov. nominee back in 2006. The most recent polling from the Anchorage Press done Aug 30 - Sep 4 show Berkowitz with a 54-37 lead over Young.
Don Young will at least have the pleasure of having plenty of time to watch the construction of the $600 million dollar bridge to...Sarah's hometown.
