Poll: Racial views steer some white Dems away from Obama
By RON FOURNIER and TREVOR TOMPSON, Associated Press Writers
http://news.yahoo.com/...
The piece is a giant concern troll explosion, lengthy going into everything that Obama could have to overcome.
It wants to make me puke.
I think that the McCain campaign is seeing Obama at 50% and looking at Ohio and thinking: "We got to use race, but if we do it too clearly Soccer Mom's won't vote for the racist party so we have to do it another way: Let's get the media to start a conversation about race. Another distraction! Who do we call to begin this racism stratgy?: Let's use the AP!"
More than a quarter of all Democrats expressed doubt that Obama can bring about the change they want
Let's not mention that McCain is tied to Bush any every poll so that in a case of choices it's not clear who wins.
AP-Yahoo News poll that found one-third of white Democrats harbor negative views toward blacks — many calling them "lazy," "violent," responsible for their own troubles.
Let's not mention that in the 90s the three most popular people in America were Oprah, Colin Powell and Michael Jordan.
and this dosy
Just seven in 10 people who call themselves Democrats support Obama, compared to the 85 percent of self-identified Republicans who back McCain.
Let's not mention that MANY MANY MANY (too lazy to link) other polls do have Obama getting more of the Democratic vote.
FOURNIER makes me sick because the thing most people will read out of the entire article is only the title. So then the meme: Obama has racial problems. F*cking amazing insight. Let's bring race back. That's the only way McCain can win.
out on a limb
When I read it the first time I saw
Radical views steer some white Dems away from Obama instead of
Racial views steer some white Dems away from Obama
Radical views implies that Obama is the other. People often only read the first and last letters of a word so many people read what i read.
I'm just sick of the AP spending it's reputation capital on John McCain. FOURNIER clearly doesn't care if he sells out.
