Tide's turnin'...big time.
An ABC/Wash Post poll found that, among likely voters, Obama now leads McCain by 52 percent to 43 percent. Two weeks ago, in the days immediately following the Republican National Convention, the race was essentially even, with McCain at 49 percent and Obama at 47 percent. As a point of comparison, neither of the last two Democratic nominees -- John F. Kerry in 2004 or Al Gore in 2000 -- recorded support above 50 percent in a pre-election poll by the Post and ABC News.
AND...Freddie Mac paid $15,000 a month to a firm owned by Senator John McCain's campaign manager from the end of 2005 through last month which contradicts a statement Sunday night by McCain that campaign manager, Rick Davis, had no involvement with the company for the last several years.
Holey moley. That's gonna leave a mark.
But, McCain supporters should not let their hearts be troubled. Just listen to right wing radio today. While I can't be sure just how they'll spin or try to distract the Folks from the dire news for their candidate, be sure, they will try.
In case you don't have time to listen, let me give you an idea how the broadcast Lords of Loud will explain the "so-called" bad news.
- The poll mostly asked the people who are supporting Obama. It asked less people who support McCain. Tell me that isn't media bias.
- Taking money from a company doesn't mean you're actually working for the company. Look at the Democratic Congress who took their paychecks the past two years and look where we're at. Tell me they're been working for us.
- O'Reilly will blame General Electric and that kid who was taken hostage for years by a pedophile.
- Limbaugh will blame the drive-by media and minorities.
- Beck will blame himself and not realize he did but think whatever he said was really clever.
- Hannity will blame Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. His female listeners will call to tell Sean how thrilled they are that he's there. He's say that he's only there because of them.
- Savage will blame autistic children.
Whew. Neck's hurting
Okay...best I could do. Your turn.
