Jesus H. How does it get any easier? Your opponent was directly involved in a the last big taxpayer bailout, to the tune of 125 BILLION DOLLARS and it's obviously part of the strategy NOT TO BRING IT UP. What on earth for? Is it impolite to mention? This past high cost and possibly criminal behavior on the part of your opponent? Balls deep in precisely the type of shenanigans he's now so piously against? Do you not call him on that? Am I crazy?
McCain's role in the S&L scandal should be playing all day every day on the teevee because it's pertinent. Now we all know full well we can't expect the media to play what's pertinent or even true so it needs to get prodded time and again, so who prods it? Is anybody other than Olbermann doing it, making those connections a little more obvious to the voters? If Obama said it they'd all have to talk about it. It's not dirty pool or attack dog politics it's pertinent, relevent information.
If not Barack (and I still see othing wrong with him beating McCain over the head with it every single day the crisis goes on) then how bout Biden in his umpteen post-debate interviews? Biden carried himself excellently in those interviews but why is he also not mentioning it? Did anybody in the democratic party mention it in the post debate analysis? Did I miss it? Help me out here, people.
Look, I gotta say, Obama did alright last night and in some parts knocked it out of the park but how can you possibly discuss the current Wall Street implosion with John McCain without describing the last one.
