I really enjoyed the volunteer experience this weekend Barack's advance team is filled with tireless undaunted people his ground game in NC is filled with equally tireless committed volunteers. The event seemed to go off pretty much without a hitch. I was tasked with doing site build the night before and on the day of the even taking tickets which meant that everyone on the line saw me multiple times. At one point when they stopped using the magnetometers the crowd totally enveloped me like a river. Joe and Barack both gave good stump speeches but Barack's was interrupted by bouts of chanting and two spells of fainting among the crowd. The best line was about McCain bringing change "if you believed that then i've got a bridge to sell you in Alaska" I passed out fliers for early voting to the exiting crowd. finally my mom and sister exited they had actually gotten to meet both the top and the bottom of the ticket. It was a great day.
