On tonight's Saturday Night Live, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey re-enacted Palin's interview with Katie Couric.
The most surreal moment occurs around the 4:00 minute mark, when Fey's Palin responds to the a question about the bail-out with non-sequitur gibberish about health care and tax reduction.
But yet of all the absurd answers given by Fey's Palin this one was the least scripted. The first part of her response is a direct quote from the interview:
PALIN: But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Helping the — Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. Shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americas.
