The crashed economy has opened doors for many candidates in Kentucky that many wanted to write off. The simple fact fact of the matter is that the Republican "leadership" of Kentucky Republicans at the time voted lock, stock and barrell for the for the legislation that crashed our economy. As the Lexington Herald-Leaderhas pointed out, they not only voted for legislation for the banking industry, but have taken many millions of dollars collectively from the very people responsible for this crises.
Kentucky is known as a pretty Conservative state, and I can tell you that they are pretty mad about this huge taxpayer bailout. Are they are presented with the truth, they will respond.
In the 2nd Congressional District, most feel David Boswell is our best bet for a pick-up. This is an open seat that was held by a Republican. Boswell is running against Brett Guthrie, and is hitting him hard:
Boswell can be helped here:

Of course, the Third District is home to John Yarmuth in his re-election rematch with former Republican Congresswoman Anne Northup from 06. In my opinion, John Yarmuth has been one of the finest pickups from 06 nationwide. He embodies what Kentucky Democrats can do if elected, and we simply must as national Democrats send him back to the Congress. Here is his latest ad:

He is ahead, but we need to stay vigilant in our support for a Congressman that supports us.
Of course, the whole blogosphere knows about the Lunsford jump in tying the race with McConnell on the economic news, and we have the momentum in that one going into the final month. Watch his unveiling of his "Women's Bill of Rights" in Lexington here:
I know there has been doubt about Lunsford in the blogosphere, but having met and talked with him I really think he would redeem himself in a big way in the Senate. Defeating McConnell should be a goal of every Democrat. Help Bruce here:

Dr. Michael Kelley is still running hard in the Fourth District. Check out all the info and goings-on at this fine Democratic candidates site here:

He is running against long-time incumbent Geoff Davis, and needs our support here:

Lastly we have my race, and my friend Heather Ryan. She is running against Ed Whitfield, who was intricately involved in the rubber-stamping of many failed policies. Heather is a newcomer, so she is running a grassroots race but she is educated, smart and courageous. I didn't know what to expect when she announced, but I am proud of the campaign Heather has run.
To see why I am so excited go to this link and watch the interview with her. It is the third one down:

She has recently picked up the endorsement of the UMWA, and is really starting to raise eyebrows here. She almost has her first ad finished, and should be able to run at least some T.V. in the last month. If you listen to the interview above, you can easily see she deserves our support.
The more support she gets, the more T.V. she can run in the last month, and Whitfield definately has a record these voters need to here. Please, invest in a "Fighting Democrat" who can pull a monumental upset, and become the first female to hold this seat. This is one race you can make a HUGE difference in. Support Heather here:
If you invest in Kentucky this election cycle, we WILL pick up seats.
