I've been wondering about the qualifications to included in the primary debates. If I were to announce my candidacy, would they let me in. Initially, there were 9 candidates, all but 1 (Sharpton) who had been elected to a significant office. And they were all admitted to the forum. What if there had been 20 candidates? Would they have admitted all?
Now there are four candidates, only two of whom have more delegates than there have been primaries. With one debate before Super Tuesday, should the debate field now be narrowed down to Kerry and Edwards or should Sharpton and Kucinich be allowed to consume equal time.
For the record, I'm ABB and planning to vote for Kucinich in the VT primary. I also plan to spend the last two weeks of October working my butt off for whoever isn't GW Bush. (If Vermont isn't a gimme, we're doomed.) I also think that it is time to eliminate Sharpton and Kucinich from the podium.
