On this last day of 2005 I will leave you fine people with a few links, real conversations that actually took place and my thoughts, some of which I can't even bring up to my own family. Maybe my last entry and the end, hell I can save 50 bucks a month on internet charges.

This is simply another link to the saber rattling going on about Iran.
"Thou shall hear of wars and rumors of wars." Funny I am really not that religious at all, but.

And of course what the government wants to go with them.
"And no man shall buy or sell save that he has the mark of the beast". Really, honest in truely, I'm not that religious.
One more link and I shall continue the story, really.

The scene begins at the kitchen table. My aging parents are over for their usual coffee/weekend visit.
My mother says "Oh you're still here, I'm glad to see the FBI didn't get you yet.
Yes, it's true, my whole family knows about my recent obsession and vehement protests to government officials.
Even last night as I drove them home after my son's birthday party she told me to knock it off as I had no idea how powerful these people were.
After coffee my parents left and the topic turned to what exactly we should do. My mother has maybe 2 years of sight left and wants to move in with us. My wife's mother is also getting tired of homeownership and wants the same. Not with my parents however. Now on top of all this my natural desire is to help out my kids as they all have a snowball's chance in hell of affordable housing anytime soon. I on the other hand, perfect paranoia is perfect awareness, had already checked on emmigration to several countries. Guess what? I'm fifty and I'm screwed
The rest of the conversation was about relocation. I'm thinking rural Waco style survivalist compound, a thought that perhaps they also have come to support. Problem is we like suburban living and for years small towns have frowned upon in-law apartments and such. The prospects of building won't work either as we would all have to sell, which takes time, pool all the money together, then go buy something everyone could agree on. Now I can understand why all those over 55 community housing projects were built. Problem is reports are coming back about how many people can't stand living in them.
The other thing that has not appeared is the whole survivalist theme. This could be a real industry in this day and age. So much for capitalism.
All in all we continue to look at several properties printed neatly off internet sites. It turned into sort of a pipe dream, like what you would do if you won the lottery.
Me, I went out to see the horse. My father grew up on the farm so that would make me only 1 generation off the farm. Didn't farmers have common sense? Why couldn't we keep the farm? There are lots of reasons, reasons that get buried in complex legalities, taxes, documentation and every years changes in laws realting to geriatric nursing home care. Well, the farm is a 55 plus condo complex now.
My thoughts run more simply, they took it from the family.
So, I leave you with my last thoughts on this last day of the year. My name, Lasthorseman, why. I am that pissed with the direction and state of America.
Lord, I want the last ride, the ride of the lasthorseman before the Apocalypse.
After seeing the horse the next stop is the package store for another 30 pack. Told ya I wasn't religious.
