The most important election of our lives is quickly approaching. If you plan on voting November 4th, and I hope you are, there are several pieces of vital information you must know. Luckily, the state of Maryland has provided an easy-to-use resource to answer all of your voting questions. Please check it out!
Q: Do you know if you are registered to vote?
Q: Do you know where you are registered to vote?
Q: Do you know where your polling location is?
Q: Have you viewed your sample ballot?
Follow-up below the fold.
If you answered no to any of these questions, go directly to this page to find your answers. Simply enter your name, zip code, and date of birth. You will find out whether or not you are registered to vote, where you are registered, and where your polling place is. You can even view and print your sample ballot so that you are prepared for all of the items for which you will be voting.
If you are definitely not registered, go here to fill out, print, and mail your voter registration application. It only takes a few minutes of your time. After you mail in your application, be sure to check your status again before the election to make sure your request has been processed. The deadline for registering to vote in Maryland is next Tuesday, October 14th.
And just for good measure, make sure you visit Rumor Control to arm yourself with the information necessary to combat voter suppression tactics. Know your rights as a voter!
Please forward this to anyone and everyone you think might benefit from this information. Thanks for your time!
