A lot of Kossacks are now treating this election as done deal. While I agree things seem to have swung Obama's way, and the DKos poll still shows a double-digit lead, there are some other polls that are a bit more sobering.
To wit:
Hotline
Obama/Biden 45%
McCain/Palin 44%
Undec 9%
Battleground
Obama/Biden 49%
McCain/Palin 45%
Undec 6%
NYTimes/CBS
Obama/Biden 47%
McCain/Palin 43%
Undec 7%
I realize all these polls were taken before the debate last night, but I'm not expecting a big bounce for Obama since he mainly just held his serve.
The thing scaring me is the undecideds. In the primaries, they seemed to break overwhelmingly to Hillary. Truly undecided people at this point are probably looking for any reason they can to vote against Obama.
Again, I do not want to be alarmist, but just remind us that there is a long way to go and a lot of work to do still.
